Do I Count as an International Applicant????

I just wanted to share my situation and see if I counted as an international applicant for most schools. I would think I don't but anyways,

-Born in US
-US Citizen
-lived in NY for 15 years and finished up to 9th grade in NY
-parents still pay American taxes
-moved out of the country two years ago and will apply to colleges from the foreign African country, where I am also a citizen and parents also pay taxes

So do these circumstances make me an international applicant in most cases? If I happen to not be an international, would I then be considered an in-state New York resident?
Also, is there any information anyone has that could help in college admissions with this situation? Thanks and any replies welcome!

You are a US citizen living abroad. Most colleges will include you in the US bucket. All colleges will consider you US from an FA perspective,

Ah, thanks @skieurope ! Would I then be in-state for New York colleges?

^ Don’t think so…

“Persons who have been physically present in New York State for at least twelve months but have maintained a fixed, permanent and principal residence outside of New York State shall not be considered New York State residents.”

Hmm… that’s interesting @Lilliana330 … lol so then I’m not in-state anywhere?

@IVCUSA11 Sadly, no…It’s an issue for all US natives abroad, except for people from the military.

Ok, thanks, that’s helpful info.
