Do i dare ask for my chances? lol

Hi

I am an international student who has applied to penn. I come from a not-so financially sound background but have had the oppertunity to travel across the world (Lived 6 years in India, 4 years in germany and belong to pakistan).
I am the only one in my family who has ever applied abroad. I know my test score are VERY WEAK, but i hope the admission comittee can look beyond that.

So you're applying to penn or Hopkins?

why cant i apply to both? :)

aaah sorry my bad ... yeah i wrote penn at the top..thats johns hopkins too

hmm... make sure no mistake like that goes on ur app
Thats a sure 100% rejection

yeah i made sure i didnt do something stupid like that on my application - soooooo what do u guys think?! :)

ur worried about a 680 math? that leaves 1310 for the other two sections, which averaged, would each be under 680...im sry, i dont see your logic here

well im an international student and my verbal doesnt really have to be exceptional (plus i have a 287 on the TOEFL which is higher than a lot of averages e.g. northwestern which is 275) . And also (sorry i forgot to mention this - but im applying for the school of engineering) . so do i have ANY chance of getting in ? i just suck at standardised tests

i forgot to mention my rank - Top 5%

It's hard for us to tell you have a very specific case. Let time tell in the mean time study and retake SAT Is or ACTs or do what you can to improve your standing.
Good luck.
