Do I even have a chance?

<p>Hi I'm a senior at public high school. I applied to ED and really worried about it :P</p>

ED, Math major (not engineering)
GPA: 3.723/ 4.0
Race: Asian (Korean)
Class Rank: top 20% (our school is really competitive.)
class size: 450
ACT :27 (do they super score ACT? if they do, it's 29..) yea really bad
No sat IIs
Really strong Essays
didn't apply for Financial Aids :)</p>

<p>I came to American 2009 summer. really low ACT score, great essay, decent E/Cs..... do u guys think I even have a chance of getting in?? </p>

<p>Financial aid doesn’t affect your admission decision at Northwestern as it’s a need-blind institution.</p>

<p>No ACT is never super scored. </p>

<p>I’m not one to say that tests are all that matter, but a 27 ACT would almost always get you denied even if you were a US citizen. International students have even higher competition so I’d say it’s a very high stretch.</p>

<p>Is that GPA weighted or unweighted? Your test scores definitely don’t look so great, especially since you didn’t take any SATIIs. Still, your EC’s and the fact that you’re ED might save you. It’s a low chance, but I don’t think it’s a definite no, either.</p>

it’s UW gpa and I’ve only been here for 1yr and 4months… 27 is really bad but it was a lot of work for a foreigner student. Well, I hope I can get in…
But nobody knows what’s gonna happen. :)</p>
