I was thinking about applying to Penn CAS for RD but I'm having second thoughts because of my sat scores which would be considered low. 700 math, 670 writing, 600 reading, 1970 total. I love this school but is it even worth applying with scores like these? I have good extra curricular and a good common app essay but no hooks. Will that score be my one-way ticket to rejection?

It’s hard to tell…the only way I’d apply with lower scores if I was a URM, had amazing EC’s, work experience, and a handful of hooks. It’s worth a shot though.

thanks i guess i’ll give it a go. w.e. happens, happens

If you love it, apply. Otherwise you’ll never know if you could have gotten in.

yea i feel u man. My SAT II’s ren’t really steller eitha with a 700 USH and 660 MathII. 3.65 unweighted gpa/3.98 weighted gpa ain’t much to brag bout also. But w.e., i’ll apply anyway and hope fo da best

Good luck with whatever happens!

thanks mate. 1 more question, all the 4 undergrad schools at penn have different admission committees right?

^Yes they do. Dual degree programs have subcommittees with reps from both of the schools in case anyone was wondering about that.

Do you also really have to submit all SAT scores. I was thinking about leaving one out from march and my SAT II Bio from june. Will penn know?
