I don't know if this matters or if this will help with your answer, but I am an African American female living in an upper middle class society...I don't know if the diversity factor will help? I know this is a CRAZY reach, but it doesn't hurt to try:) I really appreciate your help in advance! :)

i really don’t think you are a crazy reach. Being a minority definitely adds a desired diversity to your profile. ECs are impressive, and i think your other strengths can make up for your commendable but not always ivy-material sat scores. just to get a better idea, to which school at cornell were you thinking of applying? some are definitely easier than others. don’t count yourself out!! to me you have much of what it takes to stand out

well thank you! and i am applying to the college of arts and sciences with an intended major in government, sociology, economics, or linguistics.

Your SAT Score is too low!

What’s your CR/M SAT? Cornell doesn’t look at writing.

i got a 1350 :/

trust me, i wish it was higher hahah

1350 is within range. It’s not going to “help” your chances, but it’s not going to be a significant barrier either. What your unweighted GPA? It’s hard to gauge your GPA if I can’t see how much it’s weighted. If you have your class rank, that’s even more helpful, or if you can guess whether or not you’re in the top 10%, that would help too.
