I'm applying EDII and i want to know if i even have a shot at getting in because my scores are very low...
female from DC suburb, i attend a high ranked HS...
SAT: 1140 m:570 v:570
GPA: uw: 3.6 w: 4.10
AP eng lang: 4
taking/taken 5 APs
have taken all honors since freshman year
captain of track, varsity track for 4 years, NHS member, very involved in greek church community, member of countless clubs, etc... decent ECs overall
teacher recs excellent and essays as well (i've spent a lot of time on them with my college councellor)
i dont know of anyone applying ED from my school, not many people apply. my cousin goes to vanderbilt and said that they favor kids from the east coast that have successful parents and have a relative attending. do i even have a shot at getting in ed2? any comments are greately appreciated!

i don't want to be a downer, but i think it's a little bit of a long shot.

Not necessarily--scores aren't everything. More importantly, you have a strong academic background (which University material clearly states is favored over scores) and what would appear to be good recs and ECs.

you have an 1140...did you take the new SAT ever? or the SAT II Writing? i think you have to...

or the ACT?

i actually did do a lot of test prep...im just a bad test taker. i thought the ACTs would be better so i took them once and got a 25.
