Do I even have a chance?

hey guys, i'm a high school senior and have been visiting colleges and some of the ones i've truly fallen in love with are Georgetown, Boston College, Cornell and Tufts.

my school doesn't calculate GPA, but i get solid 6's and 7's (out of 7) in my 6 IB courses, have been playing tennis and saxophone for years, have about 200+ service hours, scored 2100 on my SAT and in the 700's in 3 SAT II's, and speak 4 langauges.

what are my chances of getting into any of the schools i mentioned?

If you can write good essays, your chances are excellent. Good luck to you!

Do you have a chance? definitely. Is it a decent amount of chance? Yes Is it auto-in? of course not. Owrk on a really good essay, your scores are decent but not outstanding. You want the colleges’ admission department to look differently at you.

I’d say you have an excellent shot at getting into at least some of the schools you are looking at. If you’re applying to Georgetown SFS, obviously it will be a huge plus that you are multilingual. Otherwise, if you work hard on crafting an “angle” with your essays - i.e., highlighting your community service work as well as your facility for languages as defining parts of your character - then I think that would be a major boost.

Are you planning on doing E.A. to Georgetown and BC? That would also strongly improve your chances.
