Does anyone know if the alumni interview has any substantial influence on chances of admission? I heard they really don’t mean anything.

bumpppperrr

Definitely a reach. Seems you have some grade inflation going at your school, at most good schools a 3.9/4.0 would be at least top 2%…also, your SAT/ACT scores aren’t as impressive as your UW GPA. Nothing is special and nothing really stands out about your ECs.

Good luck!

Thanks for your input WongTongTong. There is A LOT of grade inflation at my school. It is a very competitive private school, but way too many people take easy classes just to get 3.95s and such. Plus, there’s only 167 people in my class, so top 7% is 13th.

…

apparently for Penn legacies don’t matter for RD only ED. my friends dad is a really active member of the alumni committee and told her that

^yeah i heard

yes you have a chance, just not a very good one
