i hope some of you take me seriously..I want to try to transfer after two years of community college.

high school gpa: 2.5

cc gpa: 3.8

act: 28

ec's: a few common clubs including the honors society

not much community service but some

recommendations: decent but not extraordinary

essays: should be pretty good

I'd like some honest opinions or tips/anything that can help me out

thank you

well transfering from a community college is different mainly because you're going to have different classes under your belt and they can actually evaluate you on college performance-looking at high school stuff from 3+years before you apply doesnt help too much i think.

what kinds of classes have you taken at CC? have you done anything outside the classroom? any interesting jobs or research experience, etc?

honestly i dont think you have much of a shot with "decent" and "reasonable" type stuff, your GPA won't get you in (3.8 is pretty average at a cc) and your high school/act is low. you need to stand out somehow.

hey thanks for advice guys, i appreciate it very much

well all the classes i am taking at the cc are pretty much regular(calc, physics, managerial accounting, english comp 2,macroeconomics)

i work 25 hours a week at a bank which is why i have little time to do outside of classroom activities, bad excuse i know but hey its something

also i am a white male born in Europe and i've lived in the USA for 9 years

to the OPs original question: nope

^^Why are you answering a post from 2007, and how/why did you even dig it up?
