Say I do earn the credit and get a 4 or 5 on my exam, will I be eligible to skip a few classes in first-year university?

If I won't be eligible to skip, is there really a purpose for this course? Because I take APs so I won't have to stuck first-year with a bunch of people with lazy professors avoiding to give you private time to help you.

It depends on where you want to go. Most schools will give you credit for a class if you score a 4 or 5. It is most likely that you will get to skip a class.

Some schools like Berkeley may give you credit for it. Other schools like MIT won’t. They’ll require you to take Physics C, get a good AP score on it, and then get a good score on an MIT-administered physics test. :P
