Do i have a chance at all??

<p>I have a 3.1 Gpa.. play 2 varsity sports, participate in extra curricular activities, do community service (going to the Dominican Republic) and i have great reccomondations. I am trying to major in the Mechanical Engineering feild. I wanna know if i have a chance at all to get into the University of New Hampshire?</p>

<p>With relatively good SATs (like 600 average) you have a decent chance of getting in, with good ECs. So I would say it’s a low reach.</p>

<p>my sat’s are not amazing… unfortunatly…1420. I’m not a great test taker but i am a very good hands on learner, and I am very good at physics and matematics. I have great reccomondations… one from my physics teacher who has a biomedical engineering degree went to MIT and BU and he said that i had the potential out of anyone in his class to become a mechanical engineer… im just worried i wont get in. I do have good EC’s but i read somewhere that UNH considers those but finds GPA very important, Reccomondations very important, sat’s important</p>

<p>i think you have a shot since UNH considers GPA and recommendations alot which help your chances compared to your SATs scores that hurt it. If you take your SATs again and get over a 1500 i think you have a good shot but with a 1420 i say you have just a decent chance…Good Luck to ya!
