I am currently a Junior High School student.
I am willing to apply for Phillips Exeter Academy ( due to need-blind financial aid)
Is there any chance for me to get into 12th grade?
or should I apply for junior year?
And even if I applied for 11th grade is there any chance for me to get into or it is hard since I am not applying for freshman or sophomore year?
Exeter doesn’t accept 12th graders and most juniors accepted at Exeter are athletes, so unless you are a recruited athlete, I don’t think you have any chance of getting in. (Sorry if this seems negative).
Actually I might be mistaken and Exeter actually accepts 12th graders.
I have seen a new 12th grader. That person was already recruited to a college before going to PEA. 12th grade would be an exception and harder than 11th.
If you want to reclass and go to BS as a junior I think you have lots of great options to consider besides Exeter. You might want to consider applying a few places and seeing where you get in and FA.
Junior acceptance is hard, but doable. Senior acceptance is unusual, however you could do senior year at your current school and do a PG year at a boarding school since plenty of schools take many PGs.
