Thank you for the help guys!

It is difficult to predict the UC scholarships. I know several kids with equal or better profiles who did not get them. I have seen mentioned that only about 3% get the large ones. The pool is very competitive, people with ivy stats, national awards, etc. However, there are some departments who hand some out I think, so if you are attractive to the department it is possible. You would get one, not two?? I wouldn’t count on it if I were you. If you happen to be NMF you can get 1/2 tuition. You can look in the USC forum for threads where student report in of scholarships and the stats of admitted students. Also this thread:

Merit needs higher stats and even with those unpredictable. We were surprised when a friend’s D with an ACT 35, Val of her class got NO merit from USC. she is now an eng’g student at MIT

what is your situation? if you need merit, apply to some schools where for sure you will get a LOT.

How’s your PSAT score and NM status? That may be the easier way to get USC scholarship.
