I'm currently a junior asian male that attends the #3 high school (magnet) in Georgia.
Currently, I'm taking two AP's and will be taking 3 or 4 more next year (two of which will be AP Calc and AP Stat). Many courses in our school are supposedly honor level but do not have the name since it's a 'magnet' school.

gpa: 3.75 (about 3.8 at the end of this year).
numerical average: 92.6 or 92.7
class rank: 10/9x (it's a really small school).

At the end of this year I will have completed 5 science courses (including physics II and ap chemistry).

I've been in several clubs/e.c's: Math club (10-11), last year my JV team earned 3rd at the GSU math competition, Academic Decathlon (10-11), earned several medals, 2nd place overall team score past two years, with #1 overall in superquiz. I am also in the National Honor Society with nearly 50 hours of volunteer work. Other non-important clubs are CAD Club, Student Council, and TSA (I say non-important because I didn't go to any competitions). I also got got accepted to Who's Who, but I highly doubt that I will add that to my resume.

My SAT scores aren't really that high (1750 on the newest one: 690 M, 500 V, and 560 W). I've heard that GaTech doesn't really look at verbal as long as math is 650+, but the fact that it's 500 might hurt me.

My school generally sends 3-5 kids per year to GaTech. The fact that I'm in-state helps me out a bit, but I heard they dont even consider class rank nor teacher recomendations. I'm just wondering as to if I have a chance of getting in, and if not, what would I need to do. If not, do you have any other colleges that you'd like to suggest? Thanks for your time.
