Do I have a chance at UNC-Chapel Hill or Vanderbilt?

ESSAYS
I’ve been told my more than one professor that I am an extraordinary writer. The exact words of my English professor were: “I attended graduate school with individuals who did not produce work of your caliber.”

Recommendations will be absolutely sparkling.

So what are my chances?

How many credits? Either way, I’d call UNC a safety and Vanderbilt probably a match, but maybe a low reach. At worst, you may get put on the waiting list at Vandy.

An out of state public school would not be a safety for a transfer. And is aid a requirement? Vanderbilt only takes about 200 transfers per year and you may want to look into the social environment for transfers.

@blueskies2day OOS students are not at as much of a disadvantage when transferring as they are when freshman. UNC also does not require test scores for junior transfers.

@SeinfeldFan1, I will have sixty credit exactly logged at my current institution. I also forgot to mention that I have a (5) on the U.S. History AP Exam.

@starkricochet that should help your chances.
