<p>Hi everyone :) I just finished my junior year of high school, and I am planning on applying to Wake Forest early decision in about a week or so. I'm hoping to know before the start of my senior year whether or not I've been accepted. Based on what I'm about to share, do you think I'll be accepted? I'm very nervous, because Wake is my dream school and I've had my heart set on it for about three years. Thank you!</p>

Weighted GPA: 4.0+ (my school uses a 100 point scale, and I couldn't find anywhere what my GPA would be with a score of over 100.)
SAT Score: 2070 (660 Math, 700 Critical Reading, 710 Writing)
Class Rank: top 10% of my class of ~700 students.</p>

<p>My school requires four years of gym (unfortunately), even though I take dance. As I stated, I dropped my lunch both this year (Junior year) and my schedule for next year is set up without a lunch also. I am not set on a particular major or career yet, but I am considering a double major in psychology and education, and am considering becoming a school guidance counselor or a psychologist.</p>
<p>Extra-curriculars:
French club (all four years, Vice President Junior Year)
School musical (all four years)
Spring Track & Field (all four years, JV letters 9, 10, 11, throw discus and shotput but do not plan to continue at the college level).
Class Council (elected) 9, 10, 11, 12.
Show Choir (9th period class) only Freshman year.
Dance Club 10th, 11th, 12th grades (can only join dance club if in Dance II or higher)
Freshman Transition Program - 11th, 12th (only 11th or 12th graders are allowed to join)
Peer Outreach (club that works with special needs students) - 11th and 12th
Pastry Arts Club - 11th, 12th (only founded my junior year)
Challenge Day Committee (chosen by faculty to join) - 11th, maybe 12th? The committee only started by junior year, and I'm not sure yet if it will continue.
+ Parks & Recreation Basketball: 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th. Team Captain every year.</p>
<p>Community Service:
+ Festival of Friends (10th, 11th, 12th): "Carnival" type thing at my school for special needs adults.
+ Superbowl Hoagie Sale (9th, 10th, 11th, 12th): annual fundraiser in my community. The morning of the superbowl, we make and sell thousands of sandwiches and the money raised benefits several students in our township with serious illnesses or cancer.
+ 24 @ The Core: an even in which the junior and senior class councils spend 24 hours at our school (around the holidays) and collect donations of money or unwrapped gifts, and donate them to families in need.
+ Freshman Orientation: Ran tables for Dance Club and French Club at the Freshman Orientations my sophomore and junior years.
+ TNT Fundraiser: Sold LiveStrong bracelets at a community event to raise money for a girl at my school with cancer. Also participated in a seperate event for the same girl, in which we made and sold thousands of ribbons to show support for Taylor and all of the money raised was donated directly to her family.
+ 'StarMakers' Workshop: A three-day workshop for my show choir; taught elementary and middle school children songs, dances, and performance techniques.
+ Freshman Transition Summer Camp: summer before 10th grade only. Last summer and this summer, I will be on tour with my show choir during the camp.</p>
<p>Work Experience:
I have worked at my family's ice cream store for six years.</p>
<p>Awards/Recognitions:
+ National Honor Society
+ Renaissance Gold Card: not sure how national the Renaissance program is, but it is a program that rewards good grades, attendance, and behavior. A Gold Card is the highest honor, showing a GPA of 93 or higher, no more than 2 absences per semester, and no discipline.
+ JV Letter for Spring Track & Field: Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior years.</p>
<p>Also, I don't know how much this contributes but my brother is going to be a Junior at Wake Forest this coming year. He has very high grades (his GPA is a 3.75). He applied early decision to Wake Forest and was deferred, worked extremely hard his senior year to improve his grades and SAT scores, and was accepted regular decision. He absolutely loves Wake Forest, and has nothing but good things to say about his experiences at Wake.</p>
