do i have a chance? be reallll

I'm going to be in 12th grade and I really want to get into some kind of ba/md program so that I don't have to stress out so much about getting into medical school. Do you know any kind of program that I will have a chance at according to my stats?

My stats are:

SAT: 2110 (I'm retaking this oct)
SAT II: Math IIC: 800; Bio: 730; Chem: 790
AP courses: AP bio, AP calculus BC, AP english language, AP chemistry (all 5's)
AP courses taken in senior year: AP English literature, AP contemporary gov, AP stats, AP physics b

I don't know my gpa, but i have only two B's. One in Sophomore English honors and AP bio.

Extracurriculars:
JV tennis 3 years; mvp junior year
orchestra 2 years
Interact member 3 years
completed royal piano exams grade 4-8 w/ merit
won 2 piano awards in regional competition
NHS/ CSF member

UCLA internship with Dr. Jacobs ( i will ask him for a recommendation and he writes pretty good recs)
- research involved marine evolution

The ones I'm hoping to apply for are REMS (U of rochester), UCSD medical scholars(i'm a CA resident), USC...

I checked the profiles of people who got accepted into ba/md programs and they are just too crazy. Do you think i even have a chance? ._.

your applying to some really tough ones, and you would need a little better stats and ECs to have a decent shot at those ones

you should mix in some of the lower caliber progs

wat r sum of the ba/md accelerated programs with lesser qualifications..

Having B's will hurt. This year (2007) valedictorians got rejected from much less known BA/BS/MD programs at state schools. Your SAT II and AP's are fine. They were looking for SAT CR+math approx. 1500. If yours is over, there is no reason to retake. Apply to many programs and Regular route. Good luck!

Your stats look fairly decent but I would like to know the breakdown of your total SAT score. If any of the sections are below 700, practice hard to raise your score.

Regarding the B's - I don't think the impact of 2 B's on a 4 year transcript is that detrimental.
Adcoms look at your overall picture which includes your performance in school over 4 years, your SAT scores, your LORs, and your ECs. Your research goes in your favor here.

I would advise you to pick a couple of top tier schools, mid tier schools, and shoe-ins each when applying. I agree with MDAP that the competition is indeed increasing exponentially.
