Anyone? Could use some help

kc2496,
Scholarships are not my specialty, however, if you want to talk someone from admissions they might be able to help you!

Here is the link to the admissions page on the Hofstra website:

Sounds like your SAT score is on the low side, but if they like your course history that could affect it. And you would have to give an unweighted GPA, because weighted mean nothing when the scale is not indicated.

My son got $22,000 a year for the four years, so $88,000 if he decides to go there. He is from California, so that may influence things, too. It was a presidential scholarship and accepted to the honors program. He has went to private school, Eagle Scout with tons of leadership, Black Belt first degree, tons of other very continuous, long-term extra-curriculars. GPA about 3.7 (unweighted), 760 CR, 650 writing, 540 math, 760 history, has taken 7 difficult courses for all four years at private school, so not a lot of AP’s (they don’t put much credence in them–feel their honors seminar courses are much more valuable).

I applied by the Early Action I deadline and was awarded with a $23,000 annual scholarship

I received a $24,000 presidential scholarship with a 97% average, and sat’s of math:670 Reading:590 Writing:560. i also have several extra curriculars and a few leadership position if that matters. I also just got word that I got into the honors college
