Do I have a chance getting into John Hopkins?

My grades aren’t bad but they aren’t great, I have an overall unweighted gpa of 3.75 but a weighted gpa of 4.2. But all my classes are either Honors or AP (7 AP classes total in high school). My SAT score is 2190. I am fluent in Hebrew and Spanish (4 years of each in high school). As other electives I’ve taken: Art (2 years), AP Environmental Science, Speech and Debate (4 years), TKI (A leadership class in my school which creates programs). In my speech and debate team I am the top debater of Lincoln Douglas Debate and have gone undefeated in competitions. I take after school science courses, as of now I’ve taken Cancer Biology and Marine Biology. I Have been on student council all four years. I am president of a club at my school called Peace Over Violence (POV) and also Vice president of another club called Hand In Hand. I was on my schools cross country team for three years. I’ve volunteered at two different hospitals over the course of the last three years. This summer I had an internship through a very big non profit organization. I also volunteer regularly at some smaller organizations such as Rockin Rescues, Send Me a Penny, and Los Angeles Family Services.

damn you got good EC’s and stats besides for that gpa, you have a decent shot IMO

I think it depends. Certainly, your SAT score is at the level to keep you competitive, but your weighted GPA (if it’s out of 5, like I presume) is low. During senior year, I would work on raising that as much as possible. You seem to have mostly decent extracurriculars and leadership, though some clubs are a little doubtful. Your volunteer work seems solid. Assuming your essays and recs turn out solid, I would say that Johns Hopkins ED is a high match (if you raise the GPA significantly)/low reach (if you raise the GPA a little). Thanks this is very helpful!
