Do I have a chance getting into USC?

I’m a senior in high school at the moment.

My GPA and ACT score is not that great.

Unweighted GPA is 3.5909.

ACT Score: 30

I’ve decided on some UC’s and CSU’s, but my friend recently told me about how I would have a good chance at getting accepted into USC because my dad also attended there. Is being related to an alumnus really that important for USC? I don’t think that would matter because my GPA and test scores just don’t match up with the past applicants. I do have a recommendation letter and have held 3 leadership positions throughout highschool. I also participated in sports for my freshman,sophomore, and senior year. If I’m also able to write a good personal statement, what do you think my chances are?

I think it would not be that easy for you to get into USC with current stats. Unless your father had donated a lot of money to USC, legacy can not help much in your case.
