Do I have a chance of getting into Emory RD?

GPA Unweighted - 3.6 but I'm estimating
GPA Weighted - 3.8
Class Rank - Top 20%
AP's - AP US History(3) AP French IV (All the rest are in my senior year)
Senior Year Course load - AP Calculus BC, AP Physics: Mechanics, AP French V, Environmental Literature, Psychology, Architecture and Design</p>

<p>*Extra-Curricular's - JV/Varsity Soccer (4 years), Club soccer year-round since age 9, National Honor Society, French National Honor Society, French Club (2 Years), etc.
*Job/Work Experience - Summer job as an assistant soccer coach, helped run soccer stores at soccer tournaments around the area multiple times
*Volunteer Experience - Special Olympics Volunteer multiple times throughout high school, started a charity in middle school, tutoring elementary school kids 2 times a week for 3 months junior year</p>

<p>My grades weren't great freshman year, but they consistently improved year after year. Will they take that into account?</p>

<p>I'm also being supported by the Emory Soccer Coach and he's putting in a good word for me with admissions.</p>

<p>What do you think my chances are?</p>

<p>You look like a solid candidate. I hope you showed interest however outside of the soccer coach (talk to students/professors/adcoms). ACT will help. GPA may hurt but if you have a strong set of honors and APs you look fine.</p>

<p>Your GPA and ACT are almost exactly the same as mine, or at least what mine where when I applied, so I’m hoping you have a good chance, but I can’t say for sure. If you’re being recruited for soccer that could help, but I was supported by the band director at Vandy, and that didn’t get me in :confused: Well we’ll find out soon enough. Good luck!</p>
