Do I have a chance of going into any UC's and if not what colleges can I get into

GPA: 3.3/W3.6
SAT: 1589
10th grade: 1 AP
11th grade: 2 AP
I tutor 3 hours a week I have volunteered in the hospital over the summer I service in my church

gpa is goodish, sat could improve. I would try to take it again if possible. I’d say the only ones you might have a chance with are uc merced? (though the area isn’t the greatest) or santa cruz, though that’s a stretch. If these don’t work and you want california, I’d suggest CSU’s

Assuming you write a solid application, Merced and probably Riverside are within reach. Be sure to apply more broadly though - Most of the CSUs are open to you for most majors. (probably not SDSU nor CalPoly SLO) How about CSULB, Chico, Fullerton to name a few.

I agree with NCalRent, UCR/UCM and possibly UCSC would be options and many of the Cal states or some of Privates such as Azusa Pacific, University of the Pacific, Redlands and Whittier.

Also my friend wants to know if he can get into CalPolySLO with a W GPA of 3.8 and SAT score of 1765
