I want to apply to College of William and Mary Early Decision. I really love the fact that the school is surrounded by a historical rich environment. Also I feel like the small class sizes fits my learning style.
Could someone see if I have a chance of getting into College of William and Mary. Although I studied very hard for the SAT and ACT I never do good on these national tests so I am worried that I don't have a chance.
Unweighted GPA: 3.88
I making get A minus, but occasionally I will make B pluses.

I love your username! Jinora is one of my favorite characters in the whole series.

But anyway, I do think you have a fair chance. W&M looks at students holistically so they won’t discount you just because of one aspect of your application. If you are going to use one of the scores, use the SAT as W&M primarily considers the CR+M portions of the test. Your SAT score in that case is in between the 25th and 75th percentile (1270-1470), whereas your ACT score is not (29-33). I might recommend retaking it just one more time because it is on the low end, but you certainly aren’t doomed because of it. Do you live in Virginia? If you do, that will certainly increase your chances of getting in the school.

I see your strength is in your rigorous class schedule, high class rank, and good grades. Your weaknesses would probably lie in standardized testing and your extracurriculars, which seem random and without significant leadership roles on first glance, but your externship and training experience with pharmacies sounds both interesting and unique.

Like I said, you have a decent shot, although there are areas of improvement. Applying ED and being in-state will help. Write good essays and get recs from teachers that know you.

If you ever have any questions about W&M, feel free to comment or shoot me a message! I am currently a first year and really happy with my choice so far. Good luck with your application!
