Do i have a chance of getting into The University of Illinois at Chicago with a 3.0 cumulative gpa? I would be a transfer student with over 60 credits completed...

What major are you interested in? If Engineering, it might not be as easy as liberal arts.

Dietetics and Nutrition actually

What semester are you applying for?

I would be applying for Fall 2013

My understanding is that UIC, UIS, and even UIUC (for most majors) are not that difficult to transfer into as long as you have completed the required courses, and have a 3.0 GPA or better.

I agree with eclark6. Some colleges, such as engineering are more competitive but others won’t have such high admission standards. UIC is certainly within reach.

You might have a chance with regular transfer admissions. However, acceptance into the nutrition program is very competitive. It is one of the health care programs which does not accept students until Junior year. Your chances of acceptance into that program are low. In fact, they require a 3.4 GPA on required pre-reqs [Bachelor’s Degree, Nutrition Science - UIC Department of Nutrition and Kinesiology](http://www.ahs.uic.edu/kn/programs/nutr/bs/bsns_apply_criteria.php)

Hey there
Do I have a chance of getting accepted into UIC with 33 college hours and a GPA of 3.95. My personal essay is average.
By the way I went to a community college for one year, and took somewhat hard classes such as two classes of chemistry and writing intensive classes.
