I would appreciate any feedback, thank you!
I graduated highschool in January 2013 and enrolled at my local community college. I also was in a bad place in life at that time. I was on probation and subsequently registered and paid for classes for several semesters and didn’t finish. In 2015 I got my life back in order and am pursuing my education. I am not a dumb person I was not motivated and immature at the time. I am very intelligent, motivated and ambitious.
I have 5 failed classes ranging from 1-4 attempts each over a 3 year period. I will replace all those grades this semester and continue classes at my community college through the summer. My attempts over a 3 year period will stay on the transcript. I expect to finish there with 3.5 GPA and 24-30 credits. I plan transfer to U of M-Flint or Northern Michigan University where I will major in microbiology for Pre-Vet and likely make it to the ethier of the university’s honor program.
I assist at a animal surgical center where the ACVS chairman and MSU professor work. I will continue to volunteer at the animal shelter and other vets as well.
I also am good friends with a Director of the U of M flint.
The summer before I apply to MSU (Fall 2017) I plan on attending a internship and and educational experience for Veterinary Medicine in Costa Rica.
I will apply to MSU between November 2016 and April 2016. I’ll have around 40 credits, and have a 3.5 GPA.
Will I have a chance at getting into Michigan State with that transcript and resume? *I’m most worried about the three year period of class attempts, how heavily will this effect my chances of acceptance?
