You definitely have a chance. It is really impossible to say that someone will get into berkeley for sure thou. You have put yourself in a good position to get in and now you should start writing your essays. You can already find the UC prompts online and the earlier you start the better it will be. Ask as many adults, teachers and friends in grades ahead of you that got into good schools to read it. Good luck

Just google for past UC essay prompts. I’m not sure if the UC website is allowing you to check the prompt yet, but try registering an account and “Start A New Application”.

If it doesn’t work, just google for past UC essay prompts :P!

Obviously it’s impossible to say for sure, but there’s a good chance. Most of your stats aren’t far off from mine. Just write really good essays and don’t screw up senior year.

the only problem you will have is that you UW GPA is much lower than the average admitted student (3.88) and so is your Weighted GPA. Since your sat isn’t exceptional this will be something you will have to overcome. Since the application has a limited amount of ECs and awards that you can include in your application, i suggest that you rank them in importance because right now it seems like a laundry list. You also MUST make your essays brilliant because they are what can set you apart from the thousands of other people who have your stats. Getting in is hard OOS, especially because there is almost a self-selection process with only people applying because they believe that they can get in(unlike IS who seem to just “throw their hat in the race”), so you have to make the subjective parts of the application shine. Do that and I believe you have a chance.

thanks yea i have about a 3.5 unweighted, and by helping the less fortunate, what i did was i went to fundraise toy and jean drives to give them as charity with my group, also i went to the soup kitchens to make and serve meals
