Do I have a chance?

I live in Southern California and like most people here, I plan on applying to UCLA, UCB, and UCSD. I am not interested in going any of the UCs below UCSD. I will also be applying to USC. I was recently told that UCLA and UCB are reach schools for me and UCSD is also a bit of a reach. I just wanted to get some input as to what would be a good match school for me. I am also looking into liberal arts schools such as Pomona College and Puget Sound. Thanks! Oh, I plan to major in Business, English, or Psychology. Or double major in two of those three.

Oh also, I was told that liberal arts colleges would be more forgiving of my GPA and look for potential rather than just crunch numbers like the UCs do. Is this true?

School: Diamond Bar High School, 3000+ students, 754 in my graduating class. Extremely competitive, I am ranked in the top quarter because my grades as a junior fell a bit.

UC GPA: 3.95 I know the UCs generally look for 4.0+ so I am at a disadvantage here.
Unweighted GPA: 3.62 - just not very good at all.

SAT: 800 CR, 780 Math, 720 Writing, 2300 Total. (Superscored would be 2320 with a 740 Writing.)
SATII: 770 Math IIC, 740 Lit, 660 US History (Will be retaking).
ACT: Not taken yet, but plan to.

AP Scores: 5's in AP Euro, AP US History, AP Calc BC, AP Calc AB - Subscore
4's in AP Calc AB
3's in AP Chem and AP Computer Science

Next Year Classes: AP Stats, AP Psychology, AP Lit, Civics/AP Econ, AP Bio, - another class that I have yet to decide on-

EC's
Key Club - 3 Years. Have held positions of District Project Chair, DCON Chair, Fundraising Chair. Earned Member of the Month last year.
Tutor - Tutored two Chinese girls who spoke no English and taught them basic grammar and vocabulary. 100+ hours.
Volunteer at a local Chinese school - Helped out the kids and set up activities among various other things.
Girls' League - A club unique to my high school - we do fundraising for charities and other organizations, most notably Susan G Komen (breast cancer)
Something else that I can't remember for some reason. D:

Awards - Mostly academic and piano related. I will have to dig them up to jog my memory.

As you can see, my GPA and EC's fall a bit flat compared to some other people on here but still I would like to know what is realistic for me and what is a reach.

I think you have a decent chance for all of these schools. Your EC’s are just fine in my opinion, but your GPA should probably be a bit higher. However, your test scores are great, and so I think you have a decent chance for most of these schools (although UCB might be a bit higher to get into than the others).

Chance me?

They’re right; the schools are all a bit of a reach for you. I’m not too sure about Puget sound, but if I were you, I wouldn’t take the ACT since your’e SAT is already good enough.
