4 years of varsity basketball, soccer, and baseball</p>
<p>Languages: i take an extra language which is Japanese along with spanish</p>
<p>In School: four years of Chorus, Vocal ensemble, Diversity Club, Newspaper, Yearbook, two years of Model UN, peer leadership, and earth club</p>
<p>out of school: DAIS (Diversity awareness for Independent Schools) SDLC (student diversity leadership conference) i care a lot about diversity i know haha</p>
<p>i want to do sports journalism and/or communications (not totally sure though)</p>
<p>i have been doing some research and what i want to shoot for is Texas at Austin but i feel like thats a long shot...how ever i have been interested in Ole Miss or Indiana...</p>

<p>A 2.5 GPA is usually a problem if you’re applying to out-of-state publics.</p>
<p>It’s hard for anybody to say what your chances are without other information, such as standardized test scores. Not that I’m asking.</p>
<p>Rather than asking other people about your chances, I think you really ought to investigate the question yourself. Colleges and universities publish statistics about their currently enrolled freshmen. You can see such things as the 25th and 75th percentiles of SAT and ACT scores; how many freshmen had high school GPAs of 4.0 and above, 3.75-3.99, 3.5-3.74, etc.; how many freshmen were in the top 10%, top 25%, and top half of their high school class. </p>
<p>You can get this information pretty easily by looking up colleges on various web sites, including this one (I think) and the College Board’s. If you want more detail, you can look at a document called the Common Data Set for each college or university that interests you. Google the name of the institution, together with the phrase “common data set.” Then look at section C of the common data set, which gives information about applicants for freshman admission the previous year.</p>
<p>If you’re thinking of going west, you could investigate the University of Kansas. Lawrence, KS, is definitely not NYC, but you seem to be trying to leave NYC. And Lawrence is a very nice place, if it’s the kind of place you want to be.</p>
