I’m possibly looking to transfer out of my current school. In high school, I had 4.29 GPA with a 1270 on my SATs and a 700, 690, and a 520 on my SAT IIs. I took 14 honors classes and 5 APs with 2 4s and a 3 on 3 out of 5 exams. I was a member of class government for 3 years, Model UN for 4 years (Under secretary general senior year), assistant editor of the yearbook, and National Honor Society secretary. My GPA this semester is a 3.16 but I currently am a freshman at Wellesley. Do you think I have a chance?

here is an email from the transfer admissions:

"We actually dont have statistical information for publication; I can tell you that we typically have 1200-1500 transfer applicants applying for fall semesters.

We dont keep a % of how many are accepted vs. rejected, but the class that accepts to come is usually around 250-260. We dont have any type of cut-off guidelines, as all applications are reviewed.

The average GPA for our transfer students that started fall 2005 was 3.5 average SAT were 1250 Please keep in mind that this was an average.

The Board of Admissions will look very closely at all college work as well as the last few years of high school.

High School transcripts are needed to also prove that the student did in fact graduate.
