Alright so I want to go into Broadcast Journalism. U of SC has a great school for it, so it is one of my top school choices, if not my top choice. I am from Ohio and I have a 3.59 GPA. I am in the top 22% of my class. I am involved in good extra curricular's (involved in theatre program and my schools news station). I have been a grant reader for all four years of high school. My only problem is right now I am sitting at a 21 on the ACT. I did take the September one and have not yet received my scores so I don't know how I look yet. Right now I see the 21 as a major downfall. I am a great student but for some reason I just cannot do well on the ACT. Although I have a 21 is it still possible for me to get in?

Have you taken the SAT?

A lot of people do better on one or the other. I did better on the SAT. I actually got a 21 in one of the sections on the ACT but I got a 1230 on the SAT.

you look like a shoe in, maybe retry the ACT if you would want scholarship $ or better chance. I think a 21 is doable with your other stats, but its on the border.
