Do I have a chance?

<p>I'm planning on majoring in Korean, and I'm applying to UCI and UCLA out of the UCs, but out of the two, UCI is where I'd want to go. My fallback is Oklahoma City University, but I'd major in Psych if I went there.</p>

<p>UW GPA: 3.58
W GPA: 4.16
UC GPA: 3.79
SAT: 1930
ACT: 30</p>

<p>I'm ranked in the 25%, but that's because about thirty people in my grade have 4.2-4.3 GPAs, and there's only 150 of us.</p>

<p>I'm from Oklahoma, African American, a National Achievement SF, Secretary of my state's Junior Classical League, President of Glee and Girl Power Club at my school, and I have a varsity letter in volleyball and over 300 service hours. With a good essay, do you think I have a good chance of getting into UCI?</p>

<p>UCI: High Match (since your GPA is below the average UC GPA of 4.0, but you have a less competitive major).
If you are a full-pay OOS and can afford the $55K price tag, then your chances increase. </p>

<p>Thanks for replying so quickly! My family can (thankfully) afford to send me to UCI. This gives me a little more peace of mind.</p>
