Do I have a chance?

I will be applying some time this week and I was wondering if I have a chance of acceptance…
GPA: 3.8
SAT: 1650 (CR:470 M:610 W:570)
Rank: 30/610
Took 9 AP classes
Major: Pharmacy
I know my SAT scores are REALLY low… I’m taking it again this week, can I send in that score later on? Or would it be too late?

Even if your gpa is weighted, you more than qualify (excluding your SAT score). You probably have enough time to send your SAT scores. I wouldn’t worry too much, though I’m not sure how difficult it is to get into the pharmacy program. Good luck! Also, I’d wait to apply until you get your sat scores and compare.

ur math score is actually decent. what happened with the CR? not sure about pharmacy but overall your class rank, AP classes, and gpa are very solid for other Temple majors.

and i was serious about CR score, is English not your first language? did you panic during SAT? your CR score is very different from rest of profile. and if you have a good reason or even a reasonable reason for the CR, you may be able to explain it away or take a pre freshman English course your first semester. such courses are available at Temple.

and i am glad you are retesting too, Good luck with that!!

@ctl987 English isn’t my first language…I don’t know what I’m doing wrong on my CR… My essay was a 11. When it comes to reading and answering the passages, my brain starts to malfunction… and thank you for your advice!

this may not help much but some questions are harder than others. if you get the hard questions, just give it your best shot and keep your composure. im not sure if the hard questions are mixed in with the easier ones but if they are, you don;t want to be so frazzled from them, you miss easier questions that come later.

So stay calm, if you can write as essay with an 11, you can write very well. answer the CR as best as you can. and if you don;t know an answer or a block of answers from same essay, it’s ok. Give it your best shot and move onto the next questions. do something the night before test that is fun and helps you relax.

All the best!
