Do I have a chance?

I have worked very hard in school. My GPA reflects my work, 3.97 UW. I would really like to go to Pepperdine. It's been a dream from the moment I saw its poster in my schools counselor’s office in Washington State; to the time I drove past Pepperdine and saw the real image. But is my hope just a dream?

Standardized test scores
ACT 23
I know I did horrible on the ACT, I take a long time to do things, but I will retake them to try and do better. If my score were a huge factor, what would I need to raise it up to?

Thanks for your advice

I know and understand that you are a hard worker. I don't have any experience in admissions so I can't tell you nothing. I wish you the best of luck in your college search!

you've got a lot going for you, but you'll definitely need to pull up your scores to get in. take the SAT and the ACT as many times as you can, since they combine the scores from your highest sittings. i think the average for admission is around 28, so you'll need to be at least there to have a reasonable shot.

another option is taking a year or two at another school, getting good grades, and applying as a transfer. they don't look at your test scores if you are a transfer applicant.

good luck, it's a great school.

Thanks alot!
