do i have a chance?

<p>I visited Carnegie Mellon about a month ago and loved it. I am interested in chemical engineering. </p>

<p>I go to a very competitive public school in MA.</p>

<p>My gpa is pretty low.. 3.7-3.8W
SAT 1 790M,700CR,750W (2240 total)
I am taking SAT 2's next month</p>

<p>EC's
Varsity tennis for 4 years, captain for 1
over 200 hours of community service
Work over the summer
Other clubs and activities at school</p>

<p>I want to apply ED, so will that help me in any way?</p>

<p>You definitely have a chance through ED. Write your essays well and you'll see an acceptance letter in the fall. Keep up the grades too and you'll be fine.</p>

<p>Hey CMU hopeful, your chances seem strong. Your SATs are great and your GPA won't really hurt. Do well on the SAT IIs and keep your grades up senior year and you should be fine.</p>
