Also, I want to get a bussiness major...

unless I am much mistaken, there is no business major at Rice for undergrads....

No business major, but Rice will be introducing a business minor this fall.

Because you are from Brazil, schools may be likely to discount your English ACT or SAT score if you do well in the other portion(s). You should check to see if you are eligible to take the TOEFL exam, and if you do very well, submit the scores along with your ACT or SAT score.

If you are taking APs and doing well, then I wouldn't think your SATs/ACTs will be much of a problem. Make sure that somewhere in your application you make it clear that your native language is Portuguese. Looks like you are doing well in languages, since you scored well in Spanish (and as you know, some might assume that Spanish is your native language).

Would suggest you take the SATs as well, and then decide whether to use your SAT or ACT scores.

We had a Brazilian exchange student living with our family last year, and he did surprising well in getting into schools (he applied to schools in the Northeast). Being from Brazil was helpful.

If you are truly interested in Rice, make sure they know it. Visit if you can. Take the time to shine on your essays (especially the supplemental essays), making sure that what makes you unique is apparent, and making clear that you will be making contributions to the Rice community. Rice is not just about numbers, but on paper you look like a great applicant.

Good luck.
