Do I have a chance?

Hey!

Well, I was very much undecided on where to go to college last year (accepted to UCSD/UCI) so I took a gap year in order to work for money and to apply to colleges that I was too stupid not to apply to last year (this includes UCSC).

UCSC and Berkeley are my two top choices for UC's for me to get into. I was rejected from Berkeley last year, but I think it was because my essay sucked (It really did). So I also took the time this year to make a better essay that expressed my views.

Do you think I have a chance at UCSC even though I took a gap year to just work?

I want to double major in Global Economics and Studio Art.
