trying to decide whether to apply ED or RD…

sounds good to me. :)
apply ED, I heard chances are always better then

Apply ED if it is your first choice and no financial constraints. You definitely have a good chance either way.

HAHA, legacy... that's the BEST apply ed/rd u'd have a great shot either way, stay away for engineering!!! GRRR

i have heard legacy is EXTREMElY helpful ED & has little impact RD. But good shots even w/o legacy.

i heard that too.... okay, just wondering-- my friend applied ED to penn and got accepted... later, he got accepted to duke RD, and is now going to duke? how was he able to do this? and i saw his letters, so i know he wasnt making this up

if this kid goes to your school and doesn't have huge financial needs you might be screwed - or he might be faking his papers

why would i be screwed ? ( his dad is a doctor) ... maybe hes faking his papers then..

because schools dont like it when you break the ed contract

but how does that have anything to do with me?

how big of a difference is it between applying RD v. ED... if you were to guess, what would be my chance for each? would it be like 60 v 20 or like.. 35 v 30 ?

your school gets blacklisted, and the college probably won't take any students from your schools for quite a while.

hopefully he made up the papers then = (

Penn tells legacy admits to apply ED if you want your legacy to help.

Fun fact: The average college GPAs of Penn legacy students are higher than non-legacy.

well, I hope that you are not applying to anything that requires math skills (because your percentages don't add up to 100)

umm... i didn't want them to add up to 100%... i was saying in terms of acceptance, i.e. 60% chance ED/ 20% chance RD vs a much closer percent.... i was just wondering how much ed helped legacys...

More along the lines of 60 v 20
