Hey guys,

I've really wanted to attend Georgia Tech for a while, my interest being in Electrical Engineering. I'm currently a junior from California. Do I have a chance?

GPA: 3.6 UW 3.9 W 3.74 GT-Tech
SAT: 2140 (taking it again in October), SAT II Chem: 760 (taking Physics and Biology in June)
High School: Ultra competitive (we've had 6 into Princeton, 4 into Yale, 3 into Harvard, 3 into MIT, 2 into Caltech, over 40 into UCLA/Berkeley, etc)
AP's: Taken- AP US (3), AP Chemistry (5), Taking - AP Physics, AP English and Comp, AP Biology, Will Take - AP Calc BC, AP Latin, AP PoliSci, AP Econ, AP CompSci
EC's: Varsity lacrosse 2 years (well 3 including next year, senior), Math Club, Physics Club, Science Olympiad (4th at State) and Science Bowl (2nd at State) (of which I'll be the president next year), JCL (latin club academic commissioner), Med Club
Interesting Things: Work in a lab at a local University (UC system) under a professor, have my own project, nanotechnology research, may get published
Other: I'm really passionate about science. I've taken every exam I've been offered (Physics Olympiad, Bowl, etc) and am a motivated innovator. I'm part of the California linux team, and am a computer junkie. I know my GPA is somewhat low, but I assure you I understand the fundamentals. My high school is ultra competitive and it hurts the students who don't memorize the book to get 100%, but understand the material and have a will to keep chugging. Also, my dad earned his PhD here in EE a while back.
