Hey everyone, the Management school at Buffalo is one of my top choices.
you’re most likely in… you got a great SAT score, and your ethnicity helps… you’re grades a little iffy, but if you apply early decision then you’ll easily get in. they accept somewhere around 73-76% of ED applicants

My impression is that UB’s admission process is slightly more holistic, especially if you’re not top 10%/over 3.5 gpa. Your weighted GPA is certainly within normal range for UB, but consider putting some serious effort into your essays (perhaps your AP English teacher will look them over/provide guidance), EC’s (a business club, volunteer oppy might help with balancing the sports thing), and LOR’s (target appropriately, compile a resume, ask early). You’re okay with SAT scores, and they don’t consider writing anyway, so no need to spend alot of money/effort there if you’re applying to similar level schools. Most merit awards are a combo of GPA and SAT so you likely won’t get much even if you raise your SAT. Pretty sure UB requires 4 or 5 on AP’s for credit, so you’ll have to step up your game considerably. Otherwise, you can consider opting out of the exam portion of the course and save yourself the fee. Make sure you do well on your finals this year and keep your grades as high as possible next fall. Finally, if ED is binding, make sure you and your family have a very good grasp of financial aid needed and what you’re likely to get before choosing the ED route!

As per the website, SUNY’s only require a 3 on AP’s.
Poster, you can study yourself and retake the AP’s. Will cost you and won’t affect admissions, but if you want the credit you can do it.

I’m black, had a 2.97uw GPA, 23 composite ACT, lots of ECs ranging from sports to Girl Scouts to theater, and work experience…and I was waitlisted.
