Do I Have A Chance?

Hello,

I am an international student and I am applying for columbia college class of 2014. I am taking the IB program and i was predicted around 39-40 points. I am participating in many extra curriculars : I am a student government Vice President, a lead singer in my schools main rock band, a basketball team member, a theater arts main role actor and a senior class representative.

My biggest concern is SAT. My results are extremely poor and i am not sure if i should try taking the ACTs in december, or concentrate on my SAT what do u think? I took an intense summer course for SAT but my scores did not change. And my other question is: How harsh is Columbia about its SATs? Do I have a chance?

Thank You

What are your scores?

My combined is 1620… i know its a joke

uh-oh spaghetti-o’s

Try the ACT. Until you score a reasonable score (30+ ACT or 2000+ SAT) you will have little to no chance at Columbia.

^^^^harsh.

It’s the truth. Especially as an international student with fierce competition.

you’re right, but it definately depends more on other variables than on test scores

Do you think that the ACT will go better for me than SAT because i was told that some people do better in one than in the other and if that is true, then why?
