Low income family: less than $40, 000 a year.

I'm applying to: Yale (SCEA), Harvard, Princeton, Duke,
Boston College, George Washington,
Tulane, Wake Forest

dude you have a very good chance at those schools. My friend who is also haitian has slightly lower stats than you but better ECs. He got into Yale and Stanford but was rejected from harvard. Gl

You'd have a better chance as a US black, but you will probably do well. Yale, Harvard and Princeton are reaches. You may want to take a look at Amherst, Williams, etc if you want an Ivy like education, maybe Dartmouth too.

You can't have over a 5.0 gpa, and that alone is impossible.

Not true, StealthVoltage. Weighted GPAs could be that high, depending on the system used.

You have a solid chance at all.

Stealth obviously doesnt know what their talking about

You have a reasonable chance at the top schools, but why not add a couple more mid level ivies where your chances will be better then they are at HYP. Your ECs are a little light for those.

remind u guys of someone?

I have never heard of such a system, I believe 5.0 is the highest, but that would require all APs since freshmen year.

The highest is a 6.0 at my school, and it impossible to get that, unless you took all APs since freshmen year and scored 98-100 each semester. Since my school won't allow freshmen or sophmores take APs, no one can get a 6.0 at my school. I don't normally remark on chances threads, because no one can 100% know whether or not you will get into a college for sure (unless they work on an admissions board or if you are a Texas resident in the top ten percent applying to Texas public schools) , but I feel confident in saying that you have a chance at all the schools on your list.

Stealth: It would be possible to make a global statement like that only if all schools used the same system for GPAs. Since they don't, we're left to assume that the OP knows his own GPA.
