err.....i really don't know how impressive "history trip to Paris" would be as an EC, and i certainly don't understand how "perfect attendance" could be an award. I am not sure about your chances for Penn's pre-med or biochem, but I'd strongly advise you to think about some safeties...

Are you planning on applying to SEAS (biochem) or the College (chem)? You can do premed in either. Overall your ec's and whatnot are good enough, not amazing, but all bad. My only concern is your SAT scores and gpa seem a bit low, especially the SAT, where you'd feel most comfortable applying if every category was at least a 700, or greater than a 650. I'd retake the test to improve your chances, and maybe consider applying ED. Let's not beat around the bush: affirmative action will help you (probably a lot if you apply to SEAS), though geographically you may be hurt a bit. As things stand now you have a fairly low chance of getting in, but one that could improve quite a lot with a higher SAT score.

i'd take the SAT again, and I'd apply ED. i'm a URM who got in with stats quite a bit higher than yours are, and i was told that I had no shot, so, maybe that helps put things in perspective. But I also know of people who have gotten in with SAT scores around 1200 (even one person with an 1100). So, it's a toss up.

Feel free to PM with any questions! Good luck with whatever you decide.

Looks difficult but you never know.

if excluding ur URM status, id say u hav no chance, but with the URM status, try bringing up ur SATs and grades and hope for the best : )
well.. of cousre good recs and essays
