Do I have a chance?

What are my chances of getting into University of Minnesota Twin Cities?
Everyone thinks my ACT is to low, but I have no idea.

23 on ACT (still have to retake it)
AP Stats
AP Psych
AP Bio
Honors Speech

Top 50% of Class
4.0 GPA out of 5.0

Newspaper
Key Club
DECA
Volleyball - 1 Year
Badminton - 4 Years
Captain of Varsity Badminton Team 1 Year (Yep..haha)

I’d say you have a decent shot if you raise the ACT scores a bit. Good luck!

If you look at the accepted student’s profile at the U you will see that the lowest average ACT is 23.7 is for the College of Education and Human d\Development. Most of the admitted students in that college (over 75%) were in the top 25% of their class. So, do you have a chance??? If you look at the numbers, the answer is; not much especially if you want to be admitted to another college. Maybe you have something special going on, but unless you are a recruited athlete I would have a back-up school in mind. I would suggest that you investigate this yourself by looking at the numbers for the college you hope to be admitted to rather than hoping something that may never happen. Rough advice, but based on facts.

I lol’d

Apply to the College of Ed and then transfer to another college once you get in. Your classes are relatively strong as well as your EC’s so just bring that ACT up a few points and you should be golden.

bring the act to like 27ish. else no chance

The University released their profile of accepted students for Fall 2010:
[Academic Profile](http://admissions.tc.umn.edu/academics/profile.html)

CEHD has an average 24.5. Sorry to say, but as of now you don’t have a very good chance at all.

do you have legacy and are you a state resident? if so, I’d say you’re definitely in. If not in the college of your choice at least in liberal arts.
