I am a senior in private high school this year (Class of 2011), and I have plan to apply to uiuc (university of illinois urbana champaign).

I will apply with no major (undecided), and I will apply in priority, no regular.

I am a resident of us, and I live in chicago(illinois state)

high school overall gpa: 3.34

Class Rank: 80/220

Act score : 28 (eng:26, math:33, reading:25, sci:26)

Extra curriculum: 3years tennis team, 2 years soccer team, 4 years asian club, 3 years chess club, 100 hours of serivice hour

Ap/honors subjects: honors physics, honors algebra2, honors chemistry, honors spanish2, ap calculus ab, ap calculus bc, ap chemistry

ACT is fine, but your High School Class Rank is well below the mid-50% of the applicants admitted to DGS (where you would be placed if applying as undecided). Applying during priority is your best bet. Also, knowing what your weighted GPA is would be a consideration. You don’t specify it in your post. I’d say you’re a slight reach.

That GPA is my weighted GPA…

But I had highest GPA (3.72) in my second semester of junior year.

So do i have a chance to get into uiuc?

The only way that you’ll know for sure is to apply. Again, I’d say it’s a slight reach for you. Good luck.

I really wanna get into uiuc…
TT that’s my dream school…

of course you have a chance. from your posts, it doesn’t look like you know english very well (could be laziness) so make sure you get your essays proofread. your chances really depend of which major you apply to. if engineering, probably not.

I will apply with undecied

then is this possible to get into uiuc?

[U of I Admissions: Freshman Admission Requirements](Page Not Found, Illinois Undergraduate Admissions)

your act is above the 25 pct ile in dgs, the college/spot for undecideds, but your class rank is below it. so just guessing - they might look at strength school and curriculum taken, which look pretty strong to me at least. yes, go for it @ priority.

you mind sharing why it is your dream school? I tend to see the negatives in things more than the good things.

I want to mention one more thing. I believe it’s always better to apply to a specific program within a college, if that is where you truly want to be because if you are rejected from your program of choice, you are automatically considered for DGS anyway. There is no penalty for admission to DGS if you are denied your initial program choice. So, why not apply if you really have an idea where you’d like to end up?

So If I apply with any major and deny, then I am automatically considered for DGS???

So can I just apply with major???
