Do I have a chance?

<p>It is coming down to collenge crunch time, and as the motivated senior that my parents think I am, I am applying to Harvard (my number one choice) EA. Do you think I have chance?</p>

<p>Like the typical college confidentialer I am going to focus on what everyone narrowly sees...your SAT scores! Although they are great scores they are low for harvard especially since you are not URM, legacy. I don't know whether being an athlete will help that much. I think you need to be recruited? you need one more SAT II subject test because the writing no longer counts. Good score though. Try the math IIC because the curve is huge!Instead of lierature take the US history with another huge curve. See if you can "up" your rank as well.</p>

<p>Thanks for the advice. I signed up to take the SAT again in Oct. and the Math IIC in November. Rank is kind of hard to change at my school because if you take Band (like I do) which is not weighted, you cannot have GPA of 5.0 which those people who are ahead of me do. I am just hoping that my essay will make the admissions officer forget my lower SAT scores.</p>
