Do I have a fighting chance?

I am a rising senior white male at a christian highschool in west Michigan
Stats:
GPA: 3.9 uw (My school doesn't weight GPA's) toughest course load
Rank: Top 10%
Act: 25 <----I hope to raise this to the 30's range

APs: AP World History-3
To be taken:
AP Stats
AP Bio
AP English

EC's:
Track (9-12),
Cross Country(11-12)
Soccer (9-10)
Swimming (11)
Book Club
Model UN
Teen Court
NHS
Boy's State
Rotary Life Leadership Conference
100 hours community service
Link Crew
Latin Honors on National Latin Exam all three years
Active in church Youth Group
Student Council: Treas(10) Pres(11) Exec Pres(12)
Work 10-15 hrs/wk during sports, 15-20 w/o sports, and 35-40hrs/wk summer

Possible Majors: Poli Sci, Econ, Psych, I am also interested in Tufts Enviromental Studies Multidisiplinary thing

I am planning on applying here ED II because I need to retake my ACT obviously, so I am confident I can raise that as the last test doesn't represent me as I think it should. It is my first choice, brown didn't match it after visiting both. If it helps I will get a good rec from a Tufts alum, my Latin teacher

So.......Do I have a chance assuming I raise my ACT? And how can I strengthen my application?

Well, if you apply ED, you have a good/o.k. shot, providing you raise your ACT. Your ec's are alright, you could use leadership/officer positions, but attending Boy's State is excellent. Good LUck

Thanks GreenDayFan for your advice, but doesn't class pres last year and pres of the whole student council this year show leadership?
Anyone else have advice for how I can pump up my application? If I get a 30, tufts ACT average, will that be enough to raise my chances?

Sorry I didn;t see that, so yeah you have a fighting chance indeed.

Anyone else? Is a 30 ACT strong enough?

Any Jumbos or anyone for that matter have any advice whatsoever?

Just do your best this year in your classes and on your ACT and then apply. That's all the advice that I can give.

Good luck.

A 30 is preferable, but I would have to say your odds aren't looking so great without this last essential part of the package. Otherwise, your athletic achievements are commendable.

Thanks guys....now I just need to start preparing for Octobers test date
