Hey guys I'm a junior in high school and am interested in applying to the Naval Academy. I have a 3.6 gpa and over my high school career have taken 4 honors and 4 APs. I have several clubs and community services activities I am a part of. I also play three sports and have won various awards for them. I have already began the nomination process and was just wondering about my chances of getting in. Thanks

IF you become 3Qed (medically, physically, scholastically qualified … once you achieve this status, you are then deemed prepared to compete for an offer of appointment) AND you receive a nomination from your district congressman, then you stand a reasonable chance. Until those 2 major things are realized, you stand no chance at all. Lots of work ahead. Good luck. Keep working in school. NOW is the exact time to commence both your application and nomination research. The general class profile will help you to assess your competitiveness, but it cannot reveal what your district competition will look like moving forward.
