I am finishing my Junior year in high school. My GPA is around a 3.4, with 3 AP classes and a handful of honors classes spread through my sophomore and Junior years. I have been doing cross country and outdoor track for the past three years, I am active in community service, and i scored a 2040 on my SAT's. (Writing: 670, Math: 630, Reading: 740) I am very interested in applying to the College of Criminal Justice. I am also going to apply early action when i send my application out. What would you say are my chances of getting in?

and to clarify, the 3.4 is on a 4.0 scale

I think you are in. My son’s GPA was 3.7 - he got into Honors with that stat.

Just to clarify, if you are hoping to get into the Honors program, they place based on SAT/ACT scores, not on GPA/Class Rank.

You should definitely get in with your scores/GPA.

Northeastern has a spectacular Criminal Justice/Criminology program if that what you are interested in going for. If you are looking to go into law, you might be better off switching into Political Science or History. Youll have more of a chance of doing research and getting published as an undergrad.

SATs are great. you’re in
