I’m from Tupelo Mississippi and go to a public highschool. I play 3 sports and I am a part of 5 clubs. I have a 4.0 GPA and a 29 ACT. Is there i chance I can get into Duke or Vanderbilt?
A 29 ACT puts you in the bottom 15% at Duke https://finance.provost.duke.edu/sites/default/files/documents/CDS_2016-2017.pdf and the bottom 10% at Vanderbilt https://virg.vanderbilt.edu/virgweb/CDSC.aspx?year=2016 so no, it does not give you a particularly good chance. Not to say that it is impossible, but you should look at schools where your scores put you closer to the range of the typical student in order to find schools where you have a “good” chance.
Maybe if you are a recruited athlete, otherwise an extremely high reach for both.
