I'm applying to the University of Miami, UCSB, LMU, USD, Pepperdine, SDSU, and ASU.

Is this a good list...Do i have enough reaches, matches, and safeties?

Thanks.

I think only UCSB might be a reach; others seem pretty safe to me.

Thanks....do you really think i have a good shot at Miami, LMU, USD, and Pepp?

I actually think that Miami and Pepperdine might be more of a reach than UCSB, but it will depend a lot on your new test scores, for better or worse. Too hard to say at this point, though you could probably add one more match or reach type school (you are totally safe at ASU and SDSU, I'd say). Maybe Tulane? Looks like you are shooting for decent-sized schools with D-I athletics in large, warm cities, and that seems to fit the bill. They are pretty generous with financial aid, too. FSU might be attractive as well.

Art Vandelay,

Thanks for your response. I'm seeing Miami, Pepperdine, and UCSB as slight reaches. LMU and USD as matches. And ASU and SDSU as safeties. Do you agree with this assessment?

"Looks like you are shooting for decent-sized schools with D-I athletics in large, warm cities" --- This is 100% accurate, but I also want it near the beach, and to have a strong business or communications major.

I have considered Tulane and FSU. But I figured I would have no shot at Tulane, and that FSU isn't worth OOS tuition. What are your thoughts on that?

Thanks...
